I am going to The Banff Centre for the Arts for the winter B.A.i.R.programme. This is a 5 week long independant residency starting this Monday. I will be making relief sculptural frames to house a tablet each that will be showing a video of the same theme as the tablet. Eventually, there will be 7 frames with tablets all based on small creatures like toads, bees, minnows etc. I plan on making 2 to 4 frames at Banff.
Thanks goes to the Ontario arts council for their generous financial support. Otherwise I would have a hard time affording this.
I have a piece in the Art Gallery of Mississauga's Juried exhibition opening on the 12th of Jan. and I have a show of 3 of my Winter Light series videos soon to be shown at the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery in Sarnia, Ontario. This show opens on Feb.3rd and is up for three months. I love the JNAAG- it is a wonderful gallery-great staff, interesting shows, and intriguing lectures. It is a boon to Lambton County

Thanks to the Ontario Arts Council for an exhibition assistance grant that helped me to put on my show at the Oil Museum of Canada from June 11th to September 8th, 2016. I also received a creative County Fund grant from Lambton County to help with producing and mounting this show so thank you Lambton County for your financial support and encouragement.
Thanks also goes to Lisa Daniels and Dale Workman of the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery in Sarnia for the use of equipment, logistical support, and encouragement. As well, Connie Bell and her staff accommodated the show within the museum and took daily care of the digital equipment. They were great to work with.

The Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery in Sarnia, Ontario, showed a suite of my chemical valley videos. The show was called Strange Beauty and it is ran simultaneously in the fall of 2015 and spring of 2016 with The Masterworks from the Beaverbrook Art Gallery. The theme was the local landscape with chemical plants (they are on this website). There were also some works by Andreas Rutkauskas on display.
